Donor-Based Seating
For years, Boston College has maintained a broad based sports program. Currently, we sponsor 31 varsity sports, the most of any ACC institution. We fund over 260 scholarships for our 750 studentathletes. The cost of funding these scholarships has become increasingly challenging as tuition costs continue to rise.
In order to help meet the rising cost of our scholarships we instituted donor-based seating this season for our men's basketball season ticket holders. While change is always difficult, the program was met with an open mind by our season ticket base. We successfully met the challenge of increasing funding for scholarships and ensured that every season ticket holder maintained a location in Conte Forum.
Today, we now ask many of our football season ticket holders to participate in this same program. In order to remain competitive on the field, in the classroom and in the community our student-athletes need your support. Donor-based seating gives us the chance to increase the funds available to defray our scholarship costs and often rewards those who have been most generous to the athletic department.
In implementing this system I want to make sure everyone knows that they have a seat in Alumni Stadium. NO ONE will be "kicked out." While there may be reshuffling of seats, we pledge that all of our season ticket holders will have a place in Alumni Stadium.
I hope that you will find this information helpful and I thank you for your support of our student-athletes. Should you need any help after looking through this information please feel free to visit our website dedicated to Donor-Based Seating at: www.bceagles.com/donorbasedseating or by calling the Flynn Fund office at 617-552-0772.
Sincerely,
Gene

Why we are implementing Donor Based Seating?
- We have a need to fund athletic scholarships
- We offer the most sports in the ACC - 31
- Maintaining these sports and the opportunities for our 700 studentathletes keeps us committed to the Jesuit mission of educating the whole person-mind, body and soul for our students, athletes, fans and alumni.
- Demand for the best seats in Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum remains high. Throughout our history these premium seats are always in demand regardless of the team's performance.
- We would like to reward major donors to the athletic department by providing them seat options in the prime areas.
