Boston College student volunteers will be collecting special donations to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina at the Alumni Stadium gates prior to the BC-Army football game on Saturday, Sept. 10.
"All Americans have been struck by the images of devastation from our Gulf coast," Director of Athletics Gene DeFilippo says. "BC fans are kind and generous, and we know they will want to assist the relief efforts in any way possible. We encourage them to donate as they enter Alumni Stadium for Saturday's game."
Volunteers will collect donations at the Alumni Stadium gates through the first quarter of play. In addition, volunteers will collect donations in the parking areas surrounding Alumni Stadium prior to the game.
All donations will benefit Jesuit Relief efforts in the Gulf Coast and the American Red Cross.
