Harold "Mickey" Connolly '43
- A highly-talented fullback who scored the Eagles’ first
touchdown in Boston College’s 19-13 victory over Tennessee
in the 1941 Sugar Bowl.
- Also a member of the Boston College backfield for the 1943
Orange Bowl.
- Following a professional football career, “Mickey” became a
college football coach. He was head coach at Xavier
University before being named Athletic Director at
Southeastern Massachusetts University, where he served for
more than 20 years.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1985.
