Eight of the finest athletes in Boston College history were inducted into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2008. The new inductees are (left to right): Steve Langone (baseball), Andrea Melton (track and field), Chris Hamblin (soccer), Sarah (Powell) Bell (soccer), Bill Toof (skiing), Bro. Joseph (Eddie) Iarrobino, OSB (golf), Charlie Smith (football) and Ron Stone (football).

Established in 1970, the Boston College Hall of Fame honors those men and women whose exceptional performance on the fields of friendly strife and, in later years on other fields, merits special recognition from alma mater. Each year's inductees are honored at a special banquet. Hall of Fame members are permanently enshrined on the Wall of Fame in the west concourse of Conte Forum.

To be considered for induction, nominees must have graduated at least five years previously. If a prospective inductee has gone on to professional athletics, he/she must have retired from active competition.
