BALDWIN POINTS 2008

The Baldwin Points system has been newly revised this year to reward Student Athletes for their commitment to not only community service, but also their fan support to other Student Athletes on Campus.  Students will earn points for their respective teams by performing community service (through HEAR programs, Franciscan Hospital visits, and the many other volunteer opportunities around campus and in the city) and also by attending non-revenue sporting events (IE any sport but Football, Basketball, and Hockey).  The point system is meant as a reward based system to add camaraderie among teams increase fan support on campus, and also to encourage a positive, competitive atmosphere on the road to awarding this year's Ignatius Cup winner.  The point distribution will be as follows:

For each event attended, Student Athletes will earn points based on the number of players on their team.  For example:

The Women's basketball team has 11 players.  If 4 players attend a Franciscan Hospital visit, the team will earn 36 points for that event (4 divided by 11 = 36%).

Example 2:  The Men's Ice Hockey team has 25 players.  If 10 players attend a Women's Field Hockey game, the Men's Ice Hockey Team will earn 40 points for that event (10 divided by 25
