Baldwin Points

The Department of Athletics has introduced the system of awarding Baldwin Points. Baldwin Points have been created as a method for keeping track of, and encouraging team participation above and beyond each team's individual sport.

The points will be tallied throughout the year and at the end of each academic year, the team with the most points will be awarded a trophy and a $500 award towards a program enhancement item.

Participation in the following types of events will be recognized for points:

Community Outreach programs such as:

oHEAR program
oFood for Families
oAdopt a Child
oFranciscan Hospital Visits
oChildren's Hospital Visits

Support for other teams by attending other teams events

Attending Athletic Department sponsored events

oWelcome Back Picnic
oFirst Year Orientation

Leadership roles on campus and in athletic community

Attendance at Life Skills Programming

oResume workshops
oMentoring programs

Academic Efforts

oTeam GPA
oPositive efforts in classroom and with tutors

Baldwin Points are intended to be a means of keeping track of, and encourage, team participation within the Athletic Department and are awarded at the discretion of the Administration.

Coaches should keep track and report team participation in events that the Administration may not be aware of. Give materials to Jody Mooradian, Sr. Associate AD at jody.mooradian.1@bc.edu or X24801.
