Chestnut Hill, MA - The Boston College Coed Sailing Team won the New England Conference Championships in Team Racing at Roger Williams University this weekend. The Eagles sailed to an 11-3 win-loss record to top the field of 12 teams. Yale and Harvard were just behind, tied for second at 10-4.

The event was sailed in challenging conditions, with light winds on Saturday and gusty winds to over 20 knots on Sunday. This marks the second year in a row the team has captured the Team Race Conference Championship and the third time in program history.

BC sailing has now qualified for all three spring national championships - women's, coed, and now team race - to be sailed in San Francisco from May 25-June 4. The team has two weeks of training, prior to the National Championships. The schedule in San Francisco is as follows: Women's Nationals is May 25-27; Team Race is May 29-31; and Coed Dinghy is June 1-3.
