Northeastern (7-16) got two of those runs back in the top of the second on Jeff Heriot's two-run blast over the Green Monster.
In the third, an RBI single through the right side of the infield by senior shortstop Ryan Leahy (Salem, Mass.) chased Madison from the game and gave Boston College a 6-2 advantage. Later in the frame, Lederhos made it 7-2 when he crossed the plate on a double steal.
Heriot struck again in the fourth, ripping an RBI triple that rolled into the Triangle. The next batter, Matt Morizio, drove him in with a single, cutting the Eagles' lead to 7-4.
Boston College put the game away with a decisive six-run fifth inning. Leahy plated two runs with a base hit up the middle, sophomore first baseman Ryan Morgan (Weymouth, Mass.) lined a two-run double off the scoreboard, sophomore right fielder Mike Flynn (Trumbull, Conn.) roped an RBI double to left-center, and senior designated hitter Vinny Scavone (Seffner, Fla.) hit a sacrifice fly to center.
