Boston College junior Tyrese Rice captured All-ACC first-team honors and senior Tyrelle Blair earned All-Defensive Team honors, according to an announcement made by the Associated Press in conjunction with the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

Rice was joined on the first team by North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough, Virginia's Sean Singletary, Duke's DeMarcus Nelson and Miami's Jack McClinton. Rice gained All-ACC second-team honors last winter, and ACC All-Freshman Team honors in 2005-06.

Rice averaged 22.9 points, 5-1 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in 16 conference contests this season. The Richmond, Va., resident ranked among league leaders in seven categories: scoring (second), assists (second), field-goal percentage (10th, .444), free-throw percentage (fifth, .846), three-point field goals made (ninth, 2.25), assist-turnover ratio (eighth, 1.53) and minutes played per game (first, 39.00).
