Boston College freshman forward Jared Dudley captured Division I Rookie of the Year honors and senior center Uka Agbai gained Division I "Unsung Hero" recognition, according to an announcement made by the New England Basketball Coaches Association.

The awards were presented at halftime of the organization's annual all-star games at Harvard University on Tuesday, April 20. Agbai played in the Division I vs. Division II All-Star Game.

Dudley averaged 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past season. He was a unanimous selection to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team. Dudley, who twice captured conference Rookie of the Week honors, played a team-high 1156 minutes in 2003-04, the highest minute total by a BC freshman since minutes were recorded in 1980-81.

Dudley scored in double figures in 22 games, including two games with 20 or more points.

Agbai averaged 10.6 points and 5.0 rebounds in his fifth and final season for the Eagles. He concluded his career as the school's all-time leader in games played (131) and games started (127). He recorded 1,277 points and 656 rebounds in his career with the Eagles. He is one of only seven players in school history to record 1,000 points and 600 rebounds.
