Sophomore prepares for the Eagles season debut

Sophomore Alex Snickenberger was named to the New England All-Region team over the summer, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. In order to qualify for this honor the golfer must finish in the top 75 nationally in either Golfstat or the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

As a freshman Snickenberger finished 24th overall at the conference championship shooting an 85 and at the Joe Agee Invitational he finished 50th overall with rounds of 72, 80 and 80 for a total of 232. In the spring time, he shot an even par at the William and Mary Invitational, winning the entire tournament.

The Eagles open their fall slate with a trip to Pinehurst N.C., for the Mid Pines Invitational on Monday, Sept. 12 and Tuesday Sept. 13.
