AS A FRESHMAN (1999-2000): Played in 40 games … registered five points -- three goals and two assists … recorded one game-winning goal -- against Providence (2/11) … scored his first two collegiate goals in back-to-back games in early January; scored the final goal in BC's 6-2 win over Brown (1/2), and the team's first goal in a 4-4, come-from-behind tie with Boston University (1/8) … notched his first collegiate point -- an assist -- at Minnesota (10/29) … his other assist came against Providence (1/23).
BEFORE BC: Earned All-New England honors as a senior center at Northfield Mount Hermon … captured team MVP honors as a junior and senior … led NMH in scoring in each of his final three seasons … tallied 49 points - 27 goals and 22 assists - in 1998-99 … registered 27 goals and 21 assists as a junior … served as team captain as a junior and senior … played for head coach Jim Werd … was the 1997 recipient of Northfield Mount Hermon's Peter J. Leydon Athletic Award for Excellence … earned Hockey Night in Boston (HNIB) Prep-Private Offensive MVP honors as a senior … was voted HNIB's "Best Pro Prospect" in 1998 … captured HNIB's 1996 Sophomore MVP accolade … led the Central Mass. Outlaws to the 1998 Midget title at the Youth Tier I National Championships in Illinois; Paul scored the game-winning goal with 58 seconds remaining in the third overtime of the championship game (a 3-2 win over defending champion Team Illinois) … also participated in baseball, football and crew.
PERSONAL: Enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences ... an honor roll student at Northfield Mount Hermon … Paul and his older sister Jill Marie are the children of Lois and Paul Kelly.
