BOSTON -- Junior forward Nathan Gerbe netted his second goal of the game at 7:15 of overtime to lift No. 9 Boston College to a 4-3 victory over Boston University in the semifinal round of the 56th Beanpot in TD Banknorth Garden.

Boston College (13-6-7) will face Harvard, which defeated Northeastern in the first semifinal Monday, on Feb. 11, 2008 in the final.

Anthony Aiello and Benn Ferriero also scored for the Eagles, who advance to the championship game for the third straight year and 28th time overall.

Ferriero, who assisted on Gerbe's game-tying, power-play goal at 5:19 of the third period, collected his 99th and 100th collegiate points.

BC appeared to score the go-ahead goal at 5:19 as junior Andrew Orpik dove in the crease to swat in a loose puck. The play, however, was reviewed and eventually disallowed because Brian Gibbons was in the crease and made contact with BU goalie Brett Bennett (30 saves).

The Eagles outshot the Terriers, 34-26, including an 18-9 combined advantage in third period and overtime. Freshman goalie John Muse made 23 saves to earn his 13th career victory.

BU junior John McCarthy scored the first goal of the game at 4:40 of the opening frame before BC responded with strikes just 10 second apart.

Aiello tied the game - at 1-1 - with a power-play goal at 9:54 and Ferriero registered his 10th goal of the season at 10:04.

BU forwards Nick Bonino and Pete MacArthur tallied second-period scores to give the Terriers (8-14-4) a 3-2 lead heading into the final frame.
