Saturday's NCAA Northeast Regional Semifinal Game To Be Televised By TV38

Saturday's NCAA Tournament game between Boston College and Minnesota will be televised locally by TV38, the station has announced.

The NCAA Tournament Northeast Regional contest will be played at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Face-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Eagles and Golden Gophers will meet in the second half of a semifinal doubleheader. Miami and Air Force will play in Saturday's first Northeast Regional game at 4:30 p.m.

The two semifinal-round winners will meet on Sunday, March 30, at 4:30 (ESPNU) for a berth in the 2008 Frozen Four in Denver, Colo.

All three NCAA Northeast Regional games will be produced by ESPN. Saturday's semifinal game between BC and Minnesota will be carried live both by Fox Sports Net North (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Metrosports (Kansas City, Mo.). Cox TV in Rhode Island will air the game on a tape-delayed basis at 9:30 p.m., while MSG (New York) will are the game at 10:30 p.m. The NCAA Northeast Regional Championship game will be carried by ESPNU. John Buccigross (play-by-play) and Barry Melrose (color) will have the call while EJ Hradek will report rink side.

The Eagles are making their sixth consecutive appearance in the national tournament. It is the team's 10th berth in the last 11 years and 28th overall. BC enters the NCAA Tournament with a 21-11-8 record and a five-game winning streak.
