Junior forward Brian Gibbons earned Hockey East Co-Player of the Week honors after registering five points in the Eagles' two games last week, according to an announcement made by the league office.

Gibbons shared the honor with UMass-Lowell senior defenseman Nick Schaus.

Gibbons tallied two assists in the Eagles' 4-4 tie at New Hampshire on Friday, Nov. 6, and then totaled one goal and two assists in the team's 5-1 home win over Northeastern on Saturday, Nov. 7. The Braintree, Mass, resident recorded three shots in each of the two games.

Gibbons has a team-high 10 points - three goals and seven assists - in six games this season. He also leads the team with 20 shots.

Gibbons was a 2008-09 Hockey East All-Academic Team selection.

Boston College (3-2-1, 2-2-1 Hockey East) hosts Vermont for two games this weekend. The first game will be played on Saturday night, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. The second game will face off on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m.
