Nathan Gerbe Named Hockey East's Rookie of the Week

Boston College freshman forward Nathan Gerbe earned Hockey East's Rookie of the Week award after scoring both BC goals, including the gamewinner with less than six minutes to play, in a 2-1 win at Vermont on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Through seven games this season, the Oxford, Mich. resident has tallied five points on three goals and two assists. Gerbe currently ranks second on the team in both goals and shots (23) and is third on the team in points.

Boston College (4-2-1, 3-1-1), which is ranked fifth in latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll released on Monday, Nov. 14, hosts Harvard in its first of a four straight home games on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The game, which is to be televised by the Comcast Network (CN8), is set for 7:30 p.m.
