Men's Track and Field Races at Solomon Invitational

Boston, Mass. - The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the Solomon Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University on Saturday, April 15. Josh Springer led a sweep of the 1500 and Mark Alizzi and Louis Canelli each won their respective events.

Christopher Caulfield placed second in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 22.68.

Brenton Wheatley and Ryan Henry claimed the second and third place spots in the 800. Wheatley finished in 1:56.17, while Henry clocked in at 1:58.29.

Mark Alizzi finished first in the 1500 and Corey Ahern took third. Alizzi finished in 4:03.96, while Ahern crossed the line at 4:08.36.

Josh Springer led a sweep of the 3000-meter steeplechase, as Stephen Walsh and Dan Springer took second and third.

Louis Canelli placed first in the high jmp, reaching 6-06.75. Benjamin Kocarnik finished third in the pole vault.

James Unis took third place in the discus throw, tossing it 150-01.00.

The Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 20, at the ACC Championship, hosted by Wake Forest.
