Boston College men's soccer, the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Regular Season and Tournament champion, has earned the nation's No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, according to an announcement made the selection committee on Monday.

BC will host the winner of Friday's match between Boston University and Massachusetts at the Newton Campus Soccer Field on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m.

The Eagles enter the single-elimination national tournament with a 15-4-1 overall record.

Last week, the team defeated Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest to capture the 2007 ACC Tournament championship in Cary, N.C.

BC also won the 2007 league regular-season title, finishing with a conference mark of 7-1-0. Head coach Ed Kelly captured ACC Coach of the Year honors and junior midfielder Alejandro Bedoya garnered the conference's Offensive Player of the Year accolade.
