Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Eight different Eagles contributed individual wins as the Boston College men's swimming and diving team defeated Holy Cross in their final regular season meet 135-89 at Chestnut Hill.

Freshman Gregory Johnson set the tone for the Eagles by taking first in the 1000 free. Daniel Kollar and Matt Northrup followed up with a first and second place finish respectively in the 200 yard free.

In the sprint freestyle events, Billy Schwitter grabbed another top finish for the Eagles, winning the 100 free in 50.13, while Thomas Nececkas continued to swim well for BC, grabbing the 50 free in 23.22.

Alex Zucco finished first in the 200 individual medley and second in the 200 backstroke, behind teammate Michael Cartwright, who blazed to a top time of 2:00.32. Joseph Maloy, normally a distance swimmer, proved his versatility by taking first in the 200 butterfly.

The foursome of Cartwright, Schwitter, Michael Moore and captain Kurt Zwald also picked up a first place finish in the 400 medley relay.

On the diving board, Christopher Wilson-Byrne continued to impress with a top score in the one meter competition.

The Eagles will swim next Wednesday in the ACC Championships in College Park, Md.
