Boston College women's basketball will travel to Queens, New York to play in the third round of the Women's National Invitational (WNIT) against St. John's on Thursday, March 27 (7 p.m. ).

Boston College and St. John's have not played since the 2005 season, the Eagles last season in the Big East. BC leads the all-time series, 28-13. The series between the two teams began on December 28, 1981, when St. John's defeated BC, 78-55. Since head coach Cathy Inglese arrived at BC, she has a 16-3 record vs. St. John's. From Jan. of 1995 to Feb. 24, 2005, BC won 13 straight games. The winning streak ended at Conte Forum on Feb. 5, 2005 when BC lost, 69-52.
Boston College and St. John's have five common opponents - Vermont, NC State, UMass, Maine and Notre Dame. St. John's won of five games; the only loss was to Vermont. Boston College split a two-game series vs. NC State, defeated Maine and Vermont but lost to UMass and Notre Dame.
