Women's Golf Competes At William And Mary Invitational

Williamsburg, VA. - The Women's Golf team was in action over the weekend, taking part in the William and Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, VA. The Eagles fared well, finishing seventh out of 18 teams.

Junior Lara Smilnak led the way for Boston College, finishing tied for 11th in a field of nearly 100 golfers. Smilnak finished with a two-day total of 155 (+11) after rounds of 77 and 78. Freshman Natalie Draganza was also solid for BC, finishing with a total of 159 (+15). Freshman Meghan Martinek finished a stroke behind Draganza at 160 (+16).

Western Michigan University won the Invitational, which was held at the Kingswood Resort.

The Eagles will take to the links again this weekend as they take part in the Georgetown Invitational, in Leesburg, Virginia, beginning on Sunday.
