Stack Earns Player of the Month Honors

March 4, 2008

Wakefield, Mass. - Women's Hockey East named sophomore forward Kelli Stack Player of the Month for her 13-point effort in February. In the Eagles' 10 games, Stack put points up nine times and scored the gamewinning goals in the last four victories.

The Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, native scored 10 goals and recorded three assists in the month. She also tallied four multi-point games, including three two-goal efforts against Vermont, Maine and Providence. She also registered a +11 rating and a .217 shot percentage, which ranked first of the team for players who took at least 10 shots.

Stack led the team in points (38) and goals (22) in the 2007-08 season. Her 22 goals set a new career high and her 16 assists was second-best on the team. Stack ranked 28th in the nation for her 1.12 points-per-game average and tied for 12th with New Hampshire's Sam Faber for scoring 0.65 goals per game. The forward was the seventh-highest scorer in Hockey East and her 22 goals tied for third in the league.

The sophomore earned Hockey East's TPS Player of the Week honors earlier this season for her five-point performance in the two games against Connecticut on Nov. 29 and Dec. 1. She was honored with the Player of the Month award once last season and was named the league's Player and Rookie of the Year.
