Three Boston College women's hockey players -- senior Meghan Fardelmann and juniors Molly Schaus and Kelli Stack -- have been named to the 22-player roster for the U.S. Women's Under-22 Series in Lake Placid, N.Y. and the 2008 Under-22 Series in Pierrefonds, Quebec, in August.

The U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team will participate in the USA Hockey Women's National Festival in Lake Placid starting August 12. The team will depart for Pierrefonds, Que., on August 18 for the Under-22 Series, which is a three-game series against Canada from Aug. 20-23.

Schaus and Stack were each members of the U.S. Women's National Team that won the gold medal at the 2008 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship in Harbin, China, this past April.

All three players held lead Boston College to a 14-13-7 overall record this past winter. Schaus, a goaltender, finished the season with a 14-13-7 record. She totaled a 2.19 goals against average, and a .925 save percentage. Stack and Fardelmann, both forwards, were top scorers for the Eagles in 2007-08. Stack led the team with 38 points - 22 goals and 16 assists, while Fardelmann totaled 22 points (11 goals), a mark good for third on the team.
