Cambridge, Mass. - The Boston College women's track team competed at the Harvard Invitational Saturday at Harvard's Gordon Track. No team score was kept, but the Eagles captured multiple individual events. Several New England colleges and universities competed. Freshman Caitlin Bailey won the 500-meter race, crossing in 1:15, while sophomore Nichole Lister finished first in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:45.25. Boston College also won the 4x400-meter relay finishing in 3:54.78.

The Eagles swept the first seven spots of the 3,000 meter run. Lister took first, and seniors Laurel Burdick and Jessica Flinn were second and third. Burdick had a time of 9:47.67, while Flinn crossed in 9:48.43. Senior Kristen Coon took fourth, Nikki Tufts was fifth, and freshman Jessica Driscoll and Brielle Chabot were sixth and seventh. Coon, Tufts and Driscoll had times of 9:52.33, 9:53.15, and 9:56.98, respectively. Tufts ran unattached, as he is red-shirting the indoor season. Chabot crossed in 10:10.62.
Freshmen Meaghan Callahan and Ariel Hazzard seventh and tenth in the 60-meter dash with times of 7.94 and 7.99. Callahan also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash, crossing in 26.14, while classmate Teyahnie Boone was eighth, finishing in 26.25.
Caitlin Bailey captured the 500-meter race and freshman Samantha Gawrych was second, crossing in 1:15.85. Sophomores Alicia Henry and Lacey McKeon were sixth and eighth with times of 1:19.74 and 1:20.89. Senior Kathleen Smyth was tenth, finishing the race in 1:21.47.
Junior Jennifer Heyde placed third in the one-mile run with a time of 5:07.38, and freshman Gretchen Andrus took seventh, crossing in 5:18.14. Sophomore Medena Knespl was ninth, finishing in 5:21.94.
Mary Heitkamp won the 800-meter race and four other teammates placed in the top ten. Freshman Christine Sullivan was third with a time of 2:20.12. Classmates Maddy Schricker, Amy Bernier, and Taylor Meyer finished eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively. Schricker had a time of 2:23.67, while Bernier crossed in 2:24.26. Meyer finished in 2:24.57.
Sophomore Kara Musso placed sixth in the 400-meter run, crossing in 1:00.56
Senior Julie Regan was second in the high jumps with a leap of 1.65 meters and freshman Caitlin McCann placed seventh. McCann had a score of 1.55 meters.
Rookie Melissa Hadfield took second in the long jump with a leap of 5.32 meters and was seventh in the triple jump, scoring 10.49 meters. Senior Lauren Reliford had a score of 10.29 meters for ninth place in the triple jump.
Senior Melanie Pearson was 11th in the pole vault, scoring 2.75 meters.
Freshman Rosemary Guerin had a throw of 11.46 meters in the shotput. Guerin finished in fifth place. Junior Stephanie Ho was 12th in the weight throw with a score of 12.36 meters.
