Eagles to Compete in Rowing Beanpot

May 3, 2008

Boston College women's rowing will compete in the second annual Beanpot Regatta on Saturday, May 3 on the Charles River. The races start at 6:48 a.m. and the first varsity eight race begins at 8:48 a.m.

Rowers from the competing crews (BC, BU, Harvard, and MIT) will be wearing pink to help raise awareness about breast cancer. At the finish line, a representative from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (www.komen.org) will distribute information as well as accept donations for the foundation.

Last year, the Eagles placed fourth in four out of five events at the Beanpot, with their best finish (third place) coming in the second varsity four.
