Women's Soccer Captures Spring Beanpot

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College women's soccer team captured the Beanpot with two victories and a tie at Nickerson Field on the campus of Boston University on Sunday.

Boston College opened with a victory over Harvard, 2-1, followed by a 0-0 tie against host, Boston University. The Eagles finished the afternoon with a 3-0 victory over Northeastern.

The Eagles are now 3-0-1 in the spring season as they defeated Connecticut on March 29 in Storrs, CT.

The team will take the field again on April 13 when the Eagles play in the Toyota Classic in Lancaster, MA. Boston College will play St. John's (11 a.m.). The second game the Eagles will now play Connecticut (3 p.m.). Previously, BC was scheduled to play Fairfield.

Following the Toyota Classic, Boston College will play again on April 19, at Yale (1 p.m.).

The final spring game will take place on April 20 as the Eagles will compete against the BC Alumni in a 7-v-7 tournament. The game will kick off at noon.
