No. 54 Women's Tennis Falls to No. 29 Wake Forest, 4-3

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - No. 54 Boston College dropped a match to No. 29 Wake Forest, 4-3, Monday afternoon in Atlantic Coast Conference action at the Weymouth Club.

The win improves the Demon Deacons to 8-5 overall, 4-0 in ACC play, while the Eagles now sit at 9-5 overall, 1-4 in the ACC.

In singles play, Lana Krasnopolsky, Lauren Cash and Katharine Attwell all earned wins. Krasnopolsky defeated Alexandra Hirsch at the No. 1 spot, 7-5, 3-0 ret. Cash won at the No. 3 position against Christian Tara, 6-0, 6-0. Attwell defeated Sierra Poske in a third set tie breaker, 7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4).

In doubles action, Krasnopolsky and Gia Nafarrete defeated Hirsch and Aileen Davis at the No. 3 position, 8-6.

BC hosts Virginia Tech on Friday, March 28 in Weymouth, Mass. The match is scheduled at noon.
