Women's Tennis Falls in ACC Championships to Florida State, 5-0

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - The Boston College women's tennis team concluded its season by dropping a 5-0 decision to the Florida State Seminoles in the first round of the ACC Championships on Thursday afternoon at the Sanlando Park. The 11th-seeded Eagles finished the season with a 9-13 overall record, 1-11 in ACC competition.

In doubles play, Gia Nafarrete and Lana Krasnopolsky were edged by Lauren Macfarlane and Jessica Wente, 8-6, in the No. 3 pairing. Alina Sullivan and Katharine Attwell were defeated at the No. 2 position, 8-2.

Four of the six singles matches were finished on the day. Dasha Cherkasov lost to No. 68-ranked Lauren Macfarlane, 6-0, 6-1. Lauren Cash was defeated by the No. 72-ranked Carolin Walter, 6-0, 6-1.

Attwell and Nafarette were also defeated on the afternoon at the No. 4 and six positions.
