HAMILTON, N.Y. - Boston College completed the Colgate Classic with a four set victory over host Colgate, giving the Eagles a strong start to the 2008 season.

BC registered its strongest attacking effort of the season against the Raiders, with a .323 hitting percentage for the game.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 2-1 on the season.

BC dropped the first set against Colgate, 25-14, before storming back with victories in their next three sets.

A close second set was decided by a kill from Mollie Kolosky to give the Eagles a 25-22 win.

In the third set, with the score tied 23-23, Tori Thompson and Kolosky registered back-to-back kills off of assists from setter Dani Moskitis to give BC another win.

The fourth and final set went BC's way after a four point run broke a 15-15 tie and paved the way for a 25-19 win.

Leading the way for the Eagles on offense was Taylor Williams, who registered 15 kills with an attacking percentage of .370.

Moskitis contributed 51 assists, the second highest single-game effort of her career. On defense, freshman Brennan Clark led BC with 16 digs.

The Eagles next travel to Kingston, R.I. to face South Carolina in the first game of the Ram Classic Invitational on Sept. 5.
