CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College volleyball team continued its strong play at home, sweeping Miami, 3-0, last night at Power Gymnasium. With the win, the Eagles now own a 7-1 record at home this season.

BC played brilliantly in game-one, defeating the Hurricanes, 30-22. As a team, the Eagles connected on 20 of 40 attacking attempts, while committing only four errors for a .400 hitting percentage. The Eagles hit for a .255 percentage during the three-game match.

The Eagles won game-two and game-three by the score of 30-24 to raise their overall record to 9-9, 3-5 in the ACC.

Sophomore Taylor Williams had a break-out game, tallying a season-high 18 kills on the evening. Williams connected on 18 of her 35 attempts with just four errors for a .400 hitting percentage. Kelsey Johnson tied Williams for match-high honors, recording 18 kills of her own.

Brittany Pierpont totaled her fourth double-double of the season, dishing out a match-high 40 assists while also contributing 11 digs.

With the loss, the Hurricanes are now 2-6 in the ACC, 8-9 overall.

The Eagles are back in action, tomorrow night when they host Florida State at 7 p.m.
