Women's Cross Country Races at National Championships

Terre Haute, Ind. - The Boston College women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. on Monday. The meet was hosted by Indiana State University. The women's team finished 30th at the meet. Sophomore Mallory Champa led the squad, placing 31st overall out of 253 runners from across the country. Champa ran the 6k course in 10:21. Champa finished her sophomore strongly, having been named ACC Performer of the Week on October 9, earned All-ACC honors after placing 12th at the ACC Championships and All-Regional honors after finishing seventh at the NCAA Regionals.

Junior Nikki Tufts finished second on the team, crossing in 10:47, while sophomore Nichole Lister, and freshmen Brielle Chabot and Jessica Driscoll rounded out the scoring for the Eagles. Lister crossed in 10:38, while Chabot and Driscoll ran in 10:56 and 11:09, respectively.

Senior Jessica Flinn and junior Lynn Kubeja also competed at the meet, finishing with times of 11:26 and 11:43.
