Mallory Champa Named to All-America Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College sophomore Mallory Champa was named to the 2006 Division I Women's Cross Country Team, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced. Champa placed 38th at the NCAA National Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. on Monday. Champa finished the 6k race with a time of 21:21. The meet was hosted by Indiana State University.

This was Champa's first All-America honor and adds to a number of honors the sophomore received this season. Champa was also named to the NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country team, All-ACC team, and was honored as the ACC Performer of the Week on October 9.
