Boston taxis are available at Logan terminals 24 hours a day and service to all of New England. All areas within a 12-mile radius of downtown Boston are charged a metered rate. Beyond the 12-mile radius the charge is a flat rate. (See chart below) All fares are based upon the occupancy of one to four passengers per taxi.
Station wagons, handicap-accessible taxis and credit card taxis are available upon request at Logan Airport. See a Massport Ground Transportation agent, located outside of each terminal on the arrival level, for further assistance. Station wagon and van taxicabs are entitled to an additional $5 fee if a passenger has excessive luggage, skis or boxes.
All fares leaving Logan Airport will be charged a $1.50 airport fee. Travel through the harbor tunnels will cost an additional $3.00 toll fee. It is recommended that you ask the taxi driver for a receipt showing the driver's name, the taxi company, the amount paid, and the medallion number.
